The reconstruction of this colon follows the tentative suggestion of Hout Th.P.J. van den 1998c, 95, n. 5.
GIŠTUKUL-anza is best understood as a Luwian accusative plural (Hout Th.P.J. van den 1998c, 97, n. 8).
The meaning of this word is unclear, though the suggestion of Hout Th.P.J. van den 1998c, 98, n. 12 that it could be term for a species of oracular bird makes sense in context. Puhvel J. 1997a, 314 treats it as a form of ku(wa)ttar “strength”. For possible etymologies, see Tischler J. 1977-1983a, 700-701; Neu E. 1984d, 305.
This rare oracular term is found also in KUB 52.72, rev. 11′ and KBo 41.144+, frg. 2 r. c. 12′.
