Short description

A fragment featuring bird oracles; the text is difficult to read due to the largely abraded surface of the tablet. One report preserves the name of the augur Piyammu (rev.? 10´).

Palaeography and handwriting

NS (jh.). A palaeographic analysis is inconclusive; a date of the tablet in the Empire period can be determined thanks to the augur’s name, attested in other texts.

Historical context

The augur Piyammu is attested in several other oracles: KUB 22.30, rev.? 11'; KUB 49.19 III 11', 36'; KUB 49.37, 17; KUB 16.46 IV 5, 12; KUB 49.19 III 25'; KUB 49.38 I 10'; KBo 41.179 obv. 13' (Sakuma Y. 2009b, II, 711).
